Snoop + Dre Confirm LP Release Date

Produced by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg has announced that Missionary, his brand new full length, will drop on December 13.

Captioned “Missionary album drops 12.13. Produced by @drdre,” the superstar rapper/writer (born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr,) shared the news with an Instagram video of two young Mormon missionaries knocking on a door that’s opened by a woman wearing lingerie who says “What the f**k? Your ad said you were dedicated to missionary work.”

Now 53-years old, Snoop first mentioned the forthcoming album in 2022 hoping it would be finished by the end of that year, billing it as a “30th anniversary to Doggystyle,” which was also produced by Dre. When it was released in 1993, Doggystyle became the fastest-selling hip-hop album ever. It’s been hailed as one of the best rap records of all time.

About Missionary, in August Dr Dre said “This one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career.”

In November, the now 59-year old producer teased, “I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16, so we have that thing happening (bumps his fists together). I’m on song number 11 as far as the mixes go.”
