Sharing a nostalgic photo from the 1980s, Shania Twain celebrates her 60th birthday.
To honor her milestone age, on Thursday (8.28,) the Grammy award-winning songstress took to Instagram with a 30+ year old snapshot of her wearing a shimmering blue and silver suit, getting ready for a performance when she was in her twenties.
“Happy birthday to me! How can I be 60?” “So glad to have kept some photos from this time in the ’80s when I had no idea what was ahead of me and Shania f**king Twain didn’t exist yet.” read the post caption.
In addition to her throwback image, the Canadian-born singer/songwriter also uploaded a more recent photo, posing in a white button-up shirt and black briefs.
Thanking her fans for their ongoing support, elsewhere in her heartfelt post Shania wrote:
“I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am for the life that I have. For my family, friends, fans and the inspiration I get from all of you.” “I’ve tried to stay true to myself along the way and that’s my intention moving forward into the next chapter.”
