Shania Twain + Josh Homme Drop ‘Faded Blue Jeans’: Look + Listen

As the final preview of her forthcoming seventh studio LP Little Miss Twain, Shania Twain and Josh Homme just released their blue grass duet ‘Faded Blue Jeans.’

Featuring the Queens of the Stone Age frontman, the five-time Grammy award winner delves into the “rebellious rock-and-blues spirit” that shaped her youth. Inspired by one of her own teenage romances, the superstar singer’s latest offering is about the rush of young love and the belief that it could survive anything.

Describing her latest collection as her most soul-searching record yet, digging deep into the years before superstardom, the country/pop musician said:

“A lot of Little Miss Twain is reflective of my teens, my roots as well as the energy of the rock and R’n’B I loved so much, but still with that Western twang. Where I’m from, you don’t go anywhere on a horse – you go on a snowmobile. I was dreaming about the Western lifestyle and I was living in a very different world than where I ended up.”

In addition to the album that follows her 2023’s Queen of Me, Shania recently joined Harry Styles for a record-breaking 12-night takeover of Wembley Stadium.

In the movie space, Sony Pictures is developing Shania, a biopic directed by Leah McKendrick who was “honored” to take on the project, adding “Long before I was making movies, I was shooting Shania music videos in my bedroom… I am honored. I am humbled. I am READY. Let’s go, girls.”

Little Miss Twain will be released on July 24 and ‘Faded Blue Jeans’ now on all major platforms. Twain fans can pre-order a limited-edition picture disc from her official store.
