Taking to Instagram on Monday (6.01,) Sara Bareilles is preparing to release new music, the first of which will be ‘Home’ on June 3.
Sharing a teaser of the accompanying music video, featuring the superstar singer/songwriter walking through a field, Sara captioned “I’m so happy to finally share new music after almost 7 years – this new work is deeply personal… unlike all my other stuff.” “More exciting news on the way!”
Following the announcement, dedicated fans expressed their delight, with one declaring “Sara pls (sic) tell my boss I’ll be unavailable Wednesday. Cannot wait!” while another stated “New Sara Bareilles music the year 2026 is SAVED.”
It was last week that Bareilles posted a short video on her website and YouTube in which she alluded to a future tour, adding:
“Hi everybody. Something’s coming soon. This is your boiler plate teaser video. I’m finally, after many years, making art again.” “Music, specifically, heard of it? Making music, making records, taking pictures about it, making videos, going on tour, all kinds of things are happening and something big is coming soon. One of the things is big and I’m getting off point, but you get it. Stay tuned!”
More than a half decade since the 46-year dropped her sixth studio album, Amidst the Chaos, in April 2019, since then, the singer/thespian has been working on a variety of projects, including playing Dawn Solano in the musical comedy TV show, Girls5eva.
