Rolling Stones Hire Tina Turner Impersonator

In preparation for their upcoming US tour, the Rolling Stones have enlisted a Tina Turner impersonator as a background singer.

In support of their new album ‘Hackney Diamonds’, Mick Jagger (80,) Keith Richards (80,) and Ronnie Wood (76, ) will go on the road next year and will be joined by former ‘Tina: The Tina Turner Musical’ star Chanel Haynes.

During their June 2022 show in Milan, Italy, Chanel teamed up with the iconic rockers to perform ‘Gimme Shelter’ together.

According to a reliable source to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column “The Stones had a very close relationship with Tina and Chanel blew them away when she got up on stage with them.” “Chanel has now been booked as one of their backing singers and will be going out on tour with them across America in the spring.”

It’s been said that Chanel is excited to be teaming up with The Stones, adding “It means the world to her and the band were just pleased they could help her out.”

The legendary group’s two-month stadium tour launches in Houston (April 28,) with subsequent stops at the New Orleans Jazz Festival (May 2,) MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey (May 23,) before it wraps up in Santa Clara, California (July 17.)

Prior to her passing in May at the age of 83, Turner claimed that she taught Jagger how to perfect the “Pony” dance move, which was regularly seen on dance floors in the 1960, adding “Mick wanted to dance – and I was a dancer – but he never gave me the credit.” “He said his mother taught him how to dance. But we worked with him in the dressing room, me and the girls, and we taught him how to Pony.”
