Robbie Williams Teases Take That Reunion

Rising to fame in 1990 as a member of the legendary boy band Take That before leaving five years later to launch a solo career, Robbie Williams hasn’t ruled out a reunion one day.

Though he doesn’t think he’ll be part of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen’s revival of The Circus tour, the now 51-year old is “sure” he’ll perform with his former group again in the future.

In a recent BBC Radio 2 interview, Williams told presenter Scott Mills:

“Would I return to Take That to do the Circus again? I did love it last time.” “Not right now. I’m sure we’ll all ride again, but it’s not in my plans.”

Releasing Britpop, his new LP in February, the superstar singer/songwriter has fond memories of the 2009 trek, which led to him rejoining he group for their 2010 Progress record and live dates.

“It’s one of the best shows ever. That was what did it. Gaz came round to the house in Los Angeles, and he had a copy of the show.” “He played it me, and I literally stood, didn’t sit, stood and watched it spellbound. Loved it, and I was like, ‘I want back in.’ “The boys are redoing the Circus Tour, and it’s a great idea. It’s caught everybody’s imaginations, and the tickets are doing incredibly well,” added Robbie.

While Gary, Howard and Mark will embark on the 2026 tour, the remaining members of Take That – including Jason Orange, who left the group in 2014 – will not be involved.

The band previously announced: “The Circus tour was one of our favourite experiences as a band and, in the years since, we’ve talked many times about how much we’d love to do it again one day.” “Well, that time has come! We’re so excited to welcome audiences old and new across the UK and Ireland to the spectacle of The Circus Live next summer. See you out there!”
