On Wednesday (1.07,) TMZ reported that Ray J was hospitalized for a “severe” case of pneumonia.
Born William Ray Norwood Jr., the R&B artist was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital on Tuesday night after he began suffering from breathing issues and “heart pains”.
A source told the outlet that doctors took X-rays and an echocardiogram, yet representatives for the 44-year old musician have not yet commented on the report.
Not his first brush with health issues, in October of 2021 the singer was hospitalized for pneumonia after medics initially believed he contracted Covid-19.
It’s been a turbulent few months for the Mississippi native after he was arrested in November for allegedly pulling a gun on his estranged wife, Princess Love, amid a Thanksgiving incident that was captured during a livestream.
During the outburst, Ray J claimed he was having “the worst Thanksgiving” ever and alleged someone was attempting to take his children – daughter Melody (7,) and son Epik (6) – whom he shares with ex-wife Princess Love.
Married in of 2016, it was in February of 2024, that TV personality filed for divorce from the the hitmaker for the fourth time, having requested to dismiss similar filings on three previous occasions.
