Following a Thanksgiving day incident, during which he allegedly pulled a gun and issued threats, Ray J was arrested.
According to local reports, the musician (born Willie Norwood,) was taken into custody by LAPD at 4.08am and booked on a felony charge of “terrorizing causing fear” where he remains in jail on $50,000.00 bail.
Regarding a possible domestic disturbance involving threats, TMZ reports that the incident occurred at a home in Porter Ranch, where police responded to the call.
Claiming that someone was attempting to take his children and that he was being threatened, Ray J appeared on a live social media video ranting that he was having “the worst Thanksgiving,” and reaching for a handgun, he appeared to load it and make statements onlookers interpreted as violent threats.
Princess Love, the R&B singer’s on-again-off-again wife, reportedly entered the scene while holding one of their children and accused him of pointing the gun at her and their daughter. And moments later, another man entered the home and confronted Ray J, triggering further escalation including statements that he would shoot the man.
Audio from the livestream captured the sound of approaching police sirens as officers arrived, and after clearing the residence, the singer was taken into custody.
