To celebrate Pokémon Day on Saturday, February 27th, Post Malone and the animated character will team up for a virtual concert.
Given his specific Game Boy Color, Malone expressed his excitement about the collaboration by saying: “I’ve been a fan for such a long time, kind of grew up with it.” “Celebrating 25 years is a big deal, so we decided to do it together.”
This stand alone show is part of a larger year-long celebration; created in partnership with Universal Music Group, Pokémon is commemorating a quarter-century of its beloved video games, mobile apps, all year long with an artist-involved series dubbed P25 Music. The Post Malone concert serves as the series’ kickoff, with Katy Perry to follow and more details regarding the year-long celebration will be revealed at the end of the rapper’s show.
Pokémon and Posty fans will be able to view the show for free on Saturday, February 27th at 7:00 PM EST on Pokémon’s YouTube channel, Twitch channel, and 25th anniversary website.
