Offset Sued By Security Guard

According to documents secured by TMZ, security guard Jim Sanchez has filed a law suit against Offset alleging assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Offset.

Born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, the incident occurred in March during the musician’s visit to a MedMen cannabis dispensary near Los Angeles airport.

The plaintiff alleged that when he asked Offset to show identification, Offset “became hostile, verbally confrontational, and physically attacked the Plaintiff by striking him in the face.” The guard accused several others of joining in to “further assault and batter” him during the altercation, claiming that, due to suffering severe head and neck pain, he was subsequently taken to a local hospital by paramedics.

Offset’s representative denied that the singer initiated the violence, stating that the dispensary guard rushed him and spat in the hip-hop artist’s face during the dispute over showing identification.

Not his first run in with the legal system, Cardi B’s ex-husband is also battling a judgment for an alleged 2021 assault at a Florida strip club, after two men accused him of attacking them at the venue. According to court documents obtained by Us, the alleged victims formally filed to begin the collection process against Offset earlier this year.

Last week, the embattled musician was hit by a new six-figure legal claim from the US tax department that brings the total of his unpaid tax bill to over $2,300,000.000
