Offset Demands Spousal Support From Cardi B

As their acrimonious split nears the one-year mark, according to new divorce filing, Offset has demanded Cardi B pay spousal support claiming that he’s owed alimony payments.

Born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, the Migos rap star filed an updated answer to Cardi’s divorce petition in New Jersey’s Bergen County Superior Court earlier this month with the amended filing adding a request for an unspecified amount of alimony.

Seeking primary custody of their five-year-old daughter Kulture, two-year-old son Wave, and their then-unborn baby, the female rapper (born Belcalis Markenis Cephus) filed for divorce from her husband in August, following six years of marriage,

According to a representative for Cardi B, the divorce filing was “not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable”.

In a tense December social media exchange, Offset claimed Cardi “look like the hoe,” followed by his former wife responding “You sound like a dummy.” “F**k off and sign the papers TODAY.”

Not the first go round for the embattled couple, the current case is the second time Cardi B has filed for divorce. Following rumors of infidelity that plagued their relationship for years, she previously attempted to end their marriage in September 2020. Yet, within a month, she confirmed that the couple had reconciled, and later withdrew the case. “It’s hard not to talk to your best friend,” she posted on Instagram.
