Following a failed Pussycat Dolls reunion tour attempt, Nicole Scherzinger and the group’s choreographer/founder, Robin Antin, have finally settled their lawsuit.
After Scherzinger filed a request to dismiss the complaint with prejudice for “the entire action of all parties,” court documents obtained by People magazine confirmed that the women have agreed to a “confidential settlement” of the lawsuit that Antin had filed against Scherzinger in 2021.
The current update comes a year after Nicole and Robin’s legal teams filed court documents stating they had “reached a settlement in principle, subject to the execution of certain written agreements”. Accordingly, the pair reached a tentative settlement in May, but asked for more time to iron out the specifics.
At the time, Scherzinger claimed she was busy with her Broadway show Sunset Blvd which ultimately resulted in her winning a 2025 Tony award.
With premature tour dates announced in July of 2020, the relaunch of the Pussycat Dolls seemed imminent, but in September of 2021, Antin claimed the singer/actress had refused to participate in a reunion tour unless she received creative control and a larger portion of the group’s business.
According to the complaint, while she publicly affirmed her participation, “Scherzinger now refuses to participate in the reunion tour” and demanded Antin renegotiate their agreement.
At the time, Scherzinger’s attorney, Howard King shared a statement with People magazine calling Antin’s claims “ludicrous and false,” adding “Robin will fail in her efforts to trade on Nicole’s hard-earned success to pull herself out of a deep financial hole she has created by her own poor business and professional decisions.”
