Effective May 2022, the New Kids on the Block will go back on tour supported by legendary dance/pop/r+b artists along Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley, and En Vogue.
According to statement by NKOTB singer/actor Donnie Wahlberg “We had a blast out on the first MixTape Tour in 2019, and can’t wait to take it to another level with our fans on the MixTape Tour 2022,” “Just like a mixtape, these shows are going to take audiences through all the emotions. To be able to have Salt-N-Pepa come back and now also have the iconic and legendary Rick Astley and En Vogue join the tour… we could not be more excited. Let’s GO!”
Since the original boy-now-man band reunited in 2008.New Kids on the Block have been touring consistently with fellow legends 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men, TLC, Nelly, Paula Abdul, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, and Salt-N-Pepa. And as part of their recent Mixtape tours, the special guests have come out midway through the New Kids’ show to play mini-sets of their individual hits instead of a traditional opening act slot.
For those interested in the NKOTB 2022 tour, expect to hear such hits as “Push It,” “Shoop,” “Whatta Man,” ”Together Forever,” “Free Your Mind,” “and “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” in addition to New Kids standards like “Hangin’ Tough,” “Step By Set,” and “The Right Stuff.”
