After performing ‘Stupid,’ ‘Medicine,’ and ‘Bless Your Heart,’ on Tuesday night (7.28,) Country star Megan Moroney abruptly cut short her concert in Colorado’s Denver’s Ball Arena, due to illness.
Taking to her Instagram Stories account, the superstar singer/songwriter explained that she was too ill to complete the show, adding:
“Denver. That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight.” “I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you guys tonight.” “I’m typing this as I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all.”
Explaining that she’ll redo the show on August 27 and that all tickets purchased for Tuesday’s gig will be honored at the new date, the 27-year old musician said “I’ve never had to do this & I’m truly so sorry.” “I love u guys.”
The first to confirm the rest of the show had been cancelled, organizers at the Ball Arena stated “Megan is unable to continue her performance this evening due to illness, and we must end the show at this time.” “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
Though no further details about her illness were disclosed, as part her tour, the Georgia native is next slated to perform in Portland, Oregon on Saturday in support of her latest LP, Cloud 9, that’s set to wrap up on October 1 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
