Meek Mill Detained By NYC Police

On Saturday morning (11.01,) outside a Manhattan nightclub, Meek Mill was briefly detained by New York City police officers

According to footage obtained by TMZ, the superstar rapper (born Robert Rihmeek Williams) was standing with his hands behind his back as a crowd gathered outside a local New York City Halloween party.

Taking to social media, Meek subsequently addressed the incident on X with:

“They just pulled me out the car and cuffed me in front of the whole club, embarrassed the s**t out of me in NYC!” “I’m not scared to go outside without a gun … they had guns in my face for no reason. Smh (shaking my head) I thought it was a prank,” the Going Bad singer wrote. 

Responded to a 4am report of a man carrying a firearm, local police stopped a vehicle matching the given description and number plate, reported to outlet.

With no weapon recovered, and all three occupants – including Mill – were released without arrest.

According to Rolling Stone, in 2012, Mill was re-arrested for suspected marijuana used and violated his parole for traveling for concerts in the same year,

In January 2023, Mill was pardoned from the 2008 charges by outgoing Governor Tom Wolf, reported the Associated Press.
