After his then girlfriend had accused Marilyn Manson of sexual abuse and influencing her suicide attempt, the controversial rocker has accused ex-fiancee Evan Rachel Wood of falsifying a letter to the FBI.
Two years ago, Manson sued Wood for slander and emotional distress, and he’s now claiming she forged an FBI letter from a real agent to smear his image, alleging that the document made it seem as though he was under federal investigation and his victims were in danger.
Born Brian Hugh Warner, the now 55-year old avant garde rocker filed documents arguing that his former fiancee made up false sexual abuse allegations against him as part of a smear campaign. He included the FBI letter in the court documents, pointing out that Wood had signed a declaration stating she did not forge the letter, but didn’t deny that it was a forgery.
After Marilyn’s claims were been dismissed by a judge, he now wants to revive the case stating that the original facts weren’t all considered.
Wood has spoken openly about her relationship with Manson, including her attempted suicide, and in 2022 she terminated her pregnancy because of Manson’s temperament, adding:
“He flew out for the abortion. The second it was over, it was like, ‘Make me dinner.’ And I remember being like, ‘I’m supposed to be resting – my body has gone through this trauma.. there’s an aftermath here.’ And he didn’t care.”
Evan said that the stress of the event led to her trying to take her own life, claiming she tried to slit her wrists with broken glass in the bathroom. And, after the incident, she said, “When I woke up, I felt different. I feel like whoever I was went to sleep and didn’t wake up that night, and this new version woke up and had to start rebuilding her life.”
