Recorded in collaboration with Willow, the new Machine Gun Kelly single, ‘Emo Girl’ was previewed last weekend on the superstar artist’s TikTok page,
Part of Kelly’s forthcoming album, Mainstream Sellout due out March 25, the upbeat pop-punk single features both musicians doing a Blink-182 impersonation, singing, “I fell in love with an emo girl/All I want is an emo girl.”
Months after getting the album’s prior title “Born With Horns” tattooed on his arm — and convincing producer/drummer Travis Barker to do the same — Kelly (born Colson Baker) told Barker that he’d changed the LP’s name via a video shared on TikTok, saying the two would be friends “no matter what.”
Mainstream Sellout is Kelly’s sixth studio album that follows 2020’s Tickets to My Downfall, also produced by Barker and last year the lead guitarist/singer dropped several singles, including “Love Race” and “Daywalker!” featuring Corpse Husband.
