Suggesting that her recent weight loss is due to Ozempic, Lizzo shut down speculation.
Posing in a red silk kimono, on Friday (9.20,) the superstar singer/songwriter shared several photos on Instagram, and addressed rumors about her body transformation, insisting she’s been on a new diet and fitness plan.

In addition to her previous statement, Lizzo also posted a screenshot of a comment made by a follower where the Instagram user questioned, “Did she use Ozempic or did she snort coke (cocaine),” to which the 36-year-old singer replied, “Whyyyy do u follow me?”
Since the beginning of 2024, Lizzo has taken to social media with regular updates on her health journey and many of her followers were quick to offer supportive messages following the attacks from online critics.
“When you’ve literally been posting your workouts as well,” wrote on fan, with another adding, “I’ve been noticing the changes these last few months, but I didn’t mention it because it’s 2024 and we shouldn’t be talking about anyone’s body. However, you look AMAZING!”
Amid her hiatus from touring, Lizzo previously shared her focused on health and fitness and in an April interview with the New York Times, she said “I’m taking the time every day to put some love into my body. There is never a day when I regret taking a walk or doing some Pilates.” “I’ve been methodical, losing weight very slowly.”
