With little more than an hour’s notice, Lil Wayne cancelled his Monday night (I 8.11) show in Toronto at the Budweiser Stage.
The 42-year-old rapper cancelled his performance with only one hour’s notice on Monday.
Already inside the Canadian venue, fans were met with an on screen message on a screen informing them that the show had been postponed.
The notice read, “Due to unforeseen illness, Wayne’s Toronto show will be postponed. As his fans know, he loves putting on nothing short of the best performances for those who come out, and he was so excited for this one.” “Please stay tuned for the new date coming soon.” “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced.”
The superstar rapper (born ?) was slated to perform in Toronto as part of his Tha Carter VI Tour, that launched in June and is scheduled to run until October, canvassing 30+ cities across North America, including New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Austin, Orlando, and Memphis.
The tour is in support of Tha Carter VI, his June 6th released, 14th studio LP that features cameos by Big Sean, Jelly Roll, Bono, Andrea Bocelli, and Kameron Carter (his 15-year-old son.)
At press time Lil Wayne has not yet addressed the cancellation or specified his illness.
