Gearing up for what he’s calling “the best song of all time”, on Tuesday (6.25) via Instagram, Lil Nas X announced that his latest single, ‘Here We Go!’ will drop on Friday (6.28.)
Writing “So excited to release the best song of all time this Friday.” “also sorry I’ve been so scared with my art lately. I’m coming around to myself again.” “I will make you guys very proud.”
Along with the caption, the now 25-year old superstar rapper/writer included the cover art for the new track featuring a Detroit Police Department detective badge with the singer’s headshot attached.
In the comments section of the post, fellow singer-songwriter Camila Cabello demonstrated her support for the artist born Montero Hill, writing “Nature has seasons and so do we. there is no spring without winter. it’s your time to bloom baby!!!” Nas and Camila recently collaborated on the former Fifth Harmony star’s new song ‘He Knows, that will appear on her forthcoming fourth studio full length, C, XOXO.
Following his gospel-tinged ‘ J Christ’ and ‘Where Do We Go Now?,’ ‘Here We Go!’ will be X’s third solo release in 2024. In 2021, Lil Nas dropped his debut studio album, Montero, and recently teased that he would be releasing a mixtape called Naserati 2.
