Taking to social media with a sweet message, Shawn Mendes acknowledged his girlfriend Bruna Marquezine‘s latest trip around the sun.
On Tuesday (8.04) via Instagram – including photos of Bruna at the Casa Amarela Providencia community centre in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – the superstar singer/songwriter wished the model/actress a happy 31st birthday with:
“Feliz aniversário my baby.” “You are a light and a mãe (mother) in every room you walk into. Not to be tooooo sappy but you’ve truly changed my life and I am so so grateful for you. Eu te amo muito muito muitoo (I love you so, so, so much) !!!” “We all do amor… & thank you @casaamarelaprovidencia for what you’re doing!”
Though the Canadian musician and Brazilian actress were first linked in late 2025, this week’s social media post marks the first time the 27-year old artist posted images of himself and his girlfriend.
Having previously, dated Camila Cabello and Sabrina Carpenter, while Bruna was in a relationship with footballer Neymar from 2013 until 2017, it was back in October of 2024 that Mendes stated that he was trying to take the “pressure” off finding “The One,” adding:
“When you’re single, there’s this pressure of looking for ‘The One,’ who’s ‘The One?’… Damn, that’s a lot of pressure to put on someone when you first start dating,” he told fans at a concert. “For me, I’ve just been trying to take that pressure off of whoever, and just allow myself to experience the love that is happening in that moment, wherever and however that’s happening. Man, we all need a little bit of cuddling, a little bit of hugging.”
