On Thursday evening (2.06,) after becoming “too sick” to continue her show, Kelsea Ballerini was forced to prematurely end a live concert.
As confusion grew among the audience a mere five songs into her set at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, the country music superstar abruptly left the stage after which a crew member broke the bad news to fans, stating:
“This is a conversation I did not want to have tonight.” “She just can’t finish, she is too sick, and we’ve given everything, we’ve tried to do it, and we unfortunately cannot finish the show tonight.” “I do not know much beyond that. We are going to look at options and you will be receiving emails. Beyond that, there is not much that I can say right now.”
Apologizing for the premature end to her show, the now 31-year old Ballerini subsequently took to her Instagram Stories to confirm that other performances had also been postponed, but promised to make it up to her disappointed fans once she’s feeling better, writing:
“Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight.” “I am sicker than I’m trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. And I am so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-a*s show.” “We are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh, and the next day, Toronto, to the end of the tour and I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life, and I will pull out every stop for you, and I will make it so worth it.”
Ending the video by saying that she needed to rest and recover so she could continue with the remainder of her tour, Kelsea concluded with “I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human and I love you.”
