Kelly Rowland Reworks Cece Peniston’s ‘Finally’: Watch + Listen

Contributing to Gay Pride celebrations, Kelly Rowland has reworked CeCe Peniston‘s iconic hit, “Finally” into a new LGBTQ+ anthem.

Originally released on A&M Records, “Finally (Cannot Hide It)” is a collaborative effort between the “Motivation” singer and emerging producer Amorphous that samples Peniston’s Top 5 pop chart topping signature single.

In a short promo accompanying the song’s Thursday release, Rowland wears a rainbow vest with the words “Proud 365” emblazoned across the chest as she poses with multi-colored balloons and waves a rainbow flag while singing and dancing to the remix. Amorphous took to Twitter to celebrate the end of Pride Month and his new release, stating “(CAN’T HIDE IT) feat. @KELLYROWLAND and @CeCe Peniston is out RIGHT NOW! Kelly made an unplanned little movie to illustrate that we here (sic) celebrate pride all year round!!!”

The former member of Destiny’s Child also posted the video on her Instagram account, with the remark, “Every day is Pride Day! Make sure you go check out @theofficialamorphous, @cecepeniston, and myself, @theofficialamorphous, and @cecepeniston NOW (sic) on all streaming platforms!!”

“Finally (Cannot Hide It)” will be included as part of Amorphous’ debut EP, Things Take Shape, on July 7th.
