Kaskade made history on July 17 by playing the first public concert at the newly opened SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The good news is that if you weren’t one of the tens of thousands able attend the the West Coast event, Kaskade (born Ryan Gary Raddon) just released a video of the entire two-hour show via his YouTube channel.
Opening with a drone shot of the SoFi entrance, the beautifully executed video features images from the stage and the crowd that clearly demonstrate how excited everyone was to be back in club culture action.
Opening with Kaskade’s 2021 classic “Solid Ground,” the chock-full-of-hits set included a litany of his other tracks, from “My Light” (with Lipless), “Call My Name” and “Cold As Stone” to Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash and John Martin’s “Reload.”
At approximately 2:00am, Kaskade escorted Deadmau5 – who’d served as his opening act earlier in the evening – onto the stage as the two played their 2008 “I Remember” collaboration with Kaskade working the decks while Deadmau5 (born Joel Thomas Zimmerman) lip-syncs vocals into the mic.
Kaskade closed the show with his delicious 2018 single “On Your Mind,” before the obligatory confetti bursts and fireworks added a few exclamation points to the massive LA night of fun.
