Following months of anticipation and pre-birth complications, Kourtney Kardashian has given birth to her first child with husband Travis Barker.
Not each parent’s first child, the Blink-182 drummer is the father of Landon and Alabama, and stepdad to Atiana with ex-wife Shanna Moakler and The Kardashians celebrity shares kids Mason, Penelope and Reign with former partner Scott Disick.
Ahead of the newborn’s arrival on the One Life One Chance podcast, Travis confirmed that he and his wife had selected the name Rocky Thirteen Barker, saying “I was like, ‘He’s going to come out of my wife’s vagina doing front kicks and push-ups,’” he joked at the time, and also revealed that the reality TV personality was due on Halloween or “the first week of November.”
Married in May 2022, Barker and Kardashian broke the news of her pregnancy during a Blink-182 concert in June at the BMO stadium in Los Angeles, when Kourtney held up a sign that read “Travis I’m Pregnant,” recreating a scene from the band’s “All the Small Things” music video.
Sharing photographs of her baby bump with her fans via social media, in September, the reality show star revealed that she had to have “urgent fetal surgery.” writing:
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery.” “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
Expressing appreciation to her doctors for saving her little boy’s life, and to Travis for rushing home while touring overseas to be by her side, Kardashian ended her post with “Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
