Johnny Depp Launches Record Label

Intended to be a home for a diverse range of artistic ventures – from original artist singles and albums to film soundtracks and DVDs – superstar thespian/musician Johnny Depp has confirmed the formation of his new record label, IN.2 Records.

In association with UK music company Cadiz Music, the 62-year old multi-hyphenate label’s mission is to uphold the highest standards of artistic creation, adding that everything from the music itself to the vinyl and packaging will bear the same high level of quality.

With all repertoire personally curated by Depp, 22-year old Cadiz Music will oversee the production, sales, and distribution of all releases.

About his new venture, Depp said “IN.2 Records has been a vision of ours for quite some time, and we’re delighted to officially launch it into existence.” “This label is a celebration of artistry and creativity, working with incredible musicians I’ve admired for years, collaborating with friends and discovering new voices. This is just the beginning.”

Echoing Johnny’s sentiment, Richard England of Cadiz Music called the partnership an honor, adding that IN.2 Records is “A record label all about creative freedom.”

The label’s debut release will be the soundtrack to Depp’s directorial effort, the film Modigliani – Three Days on the Wing of Madness – that will include a mix of influential music from legendary artists Tom Waits, Carla Morrison, The Tiger Lillies, and The Velvet Underground & Nico, alongside the original score composed by Sacha Puttnam.

A unified approach to Depp’s creative vision to combine film and music, fans can now pre-order the Modigliani soundtrack which will be available on double vinyl, CD, and digital formats on November 7.
