While visiting Italy on holiday with musician husband Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo addressed “breaking” her sobriety.
Following public backlash over a video featuring her consumption of wine, the superstar singer’s wife (born ?) set the record straight during a September 15 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, on whether the clip meant she had broken her years-long sobriety:
“A lot of people think that I was an alcoholic in my former life, and that wasn’t my drug of choice.” “My drug of choice was cocaine and Xanax, those were my vices. Alcohol was just always prevalent because I grew up in Vegas. I never had a problem with that.”
While the podcast host got sober from drugs in 2017 before giving up alcohol in 2018, Bunnie said that that she only drinks “like once every five years”, and reminded her followers that “everyone’s perspective is very different” when it comes to what sobriety means for them.
“Just because I can have a drink does not mean that I fell off the wagon and I’m going to be drinking every night again.” “Whereas somebody who is really battling that demon could see me drinking and be like, ‘Oh, well, if she did it, I did it,’ and then completely wrecked their entire sobriety. Please don’t do that,” she explained.
