On New Year’s Day, Gwen Stefani took the time to remind the world that she’s “still the original old me” with her new music video for “Let Me Reintroduce Myself.”
In its first verse the song delivers a nod to “Hollaback Girl” when Stefani gives listeners a wink with the line “I already gave you bananas.” As for the video that mirrors the overall light and celebratory tone of the 51-year-old performer’s prior looks, it brings Gwen’s latest ska-influenced pop single to life, from classic No Doubt-era “Just a Girl” and “Don’t Speak” replicas to her standout solo moments.
Though new video, directed by Philip Andelman, is set in 2020 it includes a visual throwback to some of Stefani’s most iconic looks throughout her super-successful career. The offering also reminds the viewer of today’s challenges i.e. taking handfuls of hand sanitizer and wearing a mask.
