On the late night broadcast, the singer and coach on NBC’s The Voice starred in a mock infomercial selling her new Country album, which set some of No Doubt’s strongest sellers to fiddle and steel style. The clip shows Stefani performing her newfound tunes in front of multiple rural landscapes while wearing a red rose blouse and tan Stetson cowboy hat.
With an acoustic guitar on her lap, she rocked classics like “Don’t Speak,” “Spiderwebs” and “Hollaback Girl,” the latter with mid-20th century inspired harmonies.
This foray into Country is not new for the Grammy Award winner as she and Shelton have teamed up to co-write and record multiple songs together. Specifically, “Nobody But You” was a #1 hit, and their song “Happy Anywhere” (born from their time together during the COVID-19 lockdowns) has soared into the Top 10.
