In a marvelous melding of the minds, Green Velvet and CamelPhat have teamed up for “Critical.” A unique combination of the trio’s sounds, the song arrives on the heels of CamelPhat’s debut album, Dark Matter.
The dance floor-ready track is a sincere mix of each member’s musical influences, featuring a pounding bass line, and dynamic synths. The song’s top line vocals help to propel the project as they beg the listen to “take me higher” while the production builds to a crescendo. CamelPhat’s calculated approach alongside the psychedelic influence of Green Velvet is obvious within the first few minutes of the Columbia Records release.
