Gary Glitter Hit With 4 More Sexual Assaults

70s pop star Gary Glitter has been charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13 years of age and three counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14.

On Thursday (7.02,) officials at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that the charges against the musician are in connection with allegations made by one alleged victim about alleged incidents that took place at a residential address in Kensington, London between 1978 and 1981.

The allegations against the defendant (born Paul Gadd,) were first reported to London’s Metropolitan Police in January of 2025, and the musician was first interviewed as part of the subsequent investigation on July 22 of that year.

“This follows allegations made by a woman relating to a period of alleged abuse that took place between 1978 and 1981.” “Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to do so,” stated Bethan David, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor in CPS London, adding “We have worked closely with the Metropolitan Police as they have carried out their investigation into the allegations.”

Currently being held in HMP Cannings Wood in Devon, England, Paul Gadd is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on August 5.
