During his live performance at the Art Basel in Miami, the Ludacris‘ show was shut down by fire marshals.
Hosted by Real Housewives of Miami star Lenny Hochstein’s Star Island mansion, the exclusive Nylon and Movado party saw a heavy police presence due to new Art Week regulations requiring large-scale parties at private homes to follow strict occupancy limits and noise restrictions.
Following 30 minutes of hits – including ‘Area Codes’ and ‘What’s Your Fantasy’ – during his energetic set at the over-the-top bash, a fire marshal took the stage to halt the show.
Attended by fellow music celebrities Janelle Monae, DJ John Summit and Camila Cabello, this was the rapper’s maiden voyage in Miami for Art Basel.
In a interview with Pager six, the musician (born Christopher Brian Bridges) said:
“I just started collecting art.” “I wanted to focus on it after focusing on real estate. You have to buy all the houses first before you get the art for them.” “I love all the creative energy that comes to the city. I don’t love the traffic, but I love all the creatives and all the art.”
Art Basel stages the world’s premier modern and contemporary art shows and fairs in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong.
