According to The Hollywood Reporter, international superstar singer/songwriter Dua Lipa is set to make her film acting debut in an adaptation of the as yet unpublished Argylle spy novel.
The first installment in a proposed trilogy franchise, set to begin shooting in Europe in August, in addition to performing the film’s theme song, Dua will also contribute to its original sound score. Not her first foray into the film field, earlier this year, the Albanian-born musician released “Can They Hear Us” for Nabil Elderkin’s drama Gully.
The Warner Bros recording artist will join other Argylle cast members Catherine O’Hara, Samuel L. Jackson, Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, and John Cena.
With five #1* Billboard dance chart singles to her credit, Dua Lipa’s most recent album was her 2020 Future Nostalgia, which got a full-length club remix from the Blessed Madonna later in the summer.
