Following their Thursday (6.08) debut of “I Need a Thug,” the City Girls come quickly with “Piñata,” the musical duo’s newest single.
Available via Quality Control and produced by Southside, JT and Yung Miami take turns rapping about how “p—y make him do the cha-cha” and how “he wanna eat it like a piñata” atop a bass-bumping beat.
In May, the City Girls dropped “Act Bad” featuring Diddy and Fabolous, their first single of the year, and the pair of new songs marks their first solo titles since “Scared,” from the soundtrack of the Netflix film Bruised.
Their latest titles set the stage for the duo’s upcoming third studio LP, which Yung Miami told Zane Lowe on Apple Music would arrive next month, stating “I know I always say spring, summer, but it is coming next month. I can tell y’all that it’s coming in July.” The as-yet-to-be-titled album follows their sophomore album, City on Lock that included the gold-certified “Jobs” and the platinum-certified “P—y Talk,” featuring Doja Cat, that peaked at#29 on the Billboard 200.
