In response to the company, Astronomer, whose CEO resigned after being caught on kiss cam at a Coldplay concert, superstar thespian, Gwyneth Paltrow has been retained as a temporary spokesperson to diffuse the situation.
With her hands clasped in front of her while positioned behind a desk in a button-down shirt, the Oscar-winning actor/ex-wife of Chris Martin, and Goop founder opened the Astronomer’s social media video with:
“Thank you for your interest in Astronomer,” and adding that she’d been retained “on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer,” Paltrow continued with “Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days and they wanted me to answer the most common ones.” “We’ve been thrilled that so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation.” “We will now be returning to what we do best – delivering game-changing results for our customers.”
The controversy started when singer Chris Martin asked the cameras to scan the crowd during a Coldplay concert earlier this month that caught Chief executive Andy Byron and human resource executive Kristin Cabot off guard. As a result, the ‘cheating’ video led to a stream of memes, parody videos and screenshots of the pair’s shocked faces.
Byron and Cabot have since resigned from Astronomer
