Following an alleged attack of a music producer with a bottle, Chris Brown has been arrested while in the United Kingdom as part of his ongoing Breezy Bowl XX world tour.
On Thursday morning (5.15,) two years after allegedly assaulting music producer Abe Diaw in a London nightclub, Brown was taken into custody in Manchester, England. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police detained the superstar singer at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
In a statement about the incident, a representative for the local police department told multiple news outlets:
“A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 2am on Thursday, May 15 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.” “He has been taken into custody where he remains.” “The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.”
According to the plaintiff’s allegations, the the now 36-year old Brown attacked Diaw at Tape nightclub located in London’s Mayfair district.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday (5.11,) the music producer claimed that Brown hit him over the head with a bottle and then punched and kicked him as he lay on the ground, stating:
“He hit me over the head two or three times. My knee collapsed as well,” before claiming that he was later taken to a hospital and required crutches to walk.
Seeking $16,000,000.00 in damages for injuries and losses sustained as a result of the alleged attack, Diaw has launched a civil claim against Chris Brown.
