On Monday (6.16,) during the first day of Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, Charlie Puth kicked off the event in France with a star-studded soirée with a special performance.
While onstage, the superstar singer/songwriter teased exciting news about his forthcoming album, saying “I’m currently finishing my fourth record off of FaceTime right now.” “I can’t wait for all of you to hear it. A lot of piano. A lot of piano.”
With 1,000,000,000 Spotify streams under his self-penned tune belt, Puth subsequently serenaded his audience – including NBA player Kyle Kuzma and his fiancée, supermodel Winnie Harlow, Summer House stars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, The Traitors alum Dylan Efron, and comedian Bowen Yang – with his biggest hits, including ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore,’ and ‘See You Again.’
Heading into new territory, it was during an interview that the Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer-songwriter revealed his plans for a Broadway musical, adding:
“That’s something we’re starting to work on.” “The Broadway world is very exciting. It’s really different. It’s a lot less instant gratification because it’s a longer process than making an album.” “I just like doing things I haven’t done before.”
