After being released by the New England Patriots, Cardi B‘s ex Stefon Diggs is temporarily unemployed.
Diggs was one year into a three-year, $63,500,00.00 contract that he signed during the last off-season, and according to a report by CBS and other US outlets, the team informed the professional football player that he’ll be dropped effective March 11.
Having welcomed a son together in November 2025, Cardi and Stefon first sparked split rumors shortly before the NFL star played and lost at Super Bowl 2026.
When an ESPN reporter asked the superstar rapper if she had any inspiring words for Diggs ahead of the Super Bowl, Cardi simply replied “Good luck” and walked away. Following the game, the pair unfollowed each other on social media, with the musician later confirming the split during a concert stop in Los Angeles.
It was in May of 2025 that Cardi and Diggs went public with their romance and in September she confirmed the pregnancy with her fourth baby, her first with Stefon. Not his first child, Stefon has fathered five more children with five different women.
In February, Stefon Diggs pleaded not guilty to assaulting and strangling his personal chef in late 2025, and speculation is rife as to where the sports star will end up next.
