On Wednesday (6.17,) officials from the network announced that Cardi B and Queen Latifah will perform on June 29 at the 2026 BET Awards along with Common, Doechii, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Tems, and T.I., along with French Montana and Max B reuniting for a “long-awaited performance.”
In a formal statement from Black Entertainment Television’s executive Connie Orlando:
“BET Awards has always been a celebration of the artists, visionaries, and cultural moments that shape our community and move culture forward.” “This year’s show brings together an extraordinary mix of legends, superstars, and emerging talent whose influence continues to resonate across generations. From powerful performances to historic tributes, we’re creating the kind of unforgettable moments that define the BET Awards. And we’re only getting started.”
Garnered six nominations, Cardi B is set to dominate the prize-giving, followed by Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist each of whom landed five apiece.
Hosted by Actor-comedian Druski, BET officials also confirmed that Lauryn Hill will receive the Living Legend Icon Award, while actress-singer Teyana Taylor will be recognized as Icon of the Year,
The BET Awards were established in 2001 by producers at the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate Black entertainers and other minorities in music, film, sports and philanthropy.
