Following sux years of marriage, Cardi B and Offset have separated.
On Sunday night during an Instagram Live, the superstar musician, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, confirmed rumors that she and her fellow rapper (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus) have ended their relationship:
“I’ve been single for a minute now.” “But I have been afraid to like – not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.” “So, I wanna start 2024 fresh, open. I don’t know, I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. Yeah, I’m excited.”
Speculation about the famous couple’s split, both 31 years old, started after each musician unfollowed the other on Instagram earlier this month, and Cardi shared cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories writing, “You know when you just out grow relationships” and “I’m tired of protecting peoples feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!”
On Sunday (12.10,) the Migos rapper took to X/Twitter addressing recent accusations of cheating from rapper Blueface, writing, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady. Real talk man you need some help!”
On September 20, 2017, the now estranged couple got married secretly and now share two children, Kulture (5) and Wave (2.)
After rumors of Offset’s cheating began, the pair initially split in 2018 shortly after the birth of Kulture. At the time, Cardi wrote that they were “working things out.” The following year, she filed for divorce, but did not go through with it.
