Calvin Harris Wins Legal Battle

In his legal battle with his former business manager, Thomas St John, Calvin Harris has been awarded $13,500,000.00 as repayment for a real estate loan.

Accusing St John of abusing their financial relationship to fund a an unnecessary, wasteful real estate project, the Scottish superstar initiated arbitration proceedings last summer, alleging that in 2023, his manager fraudulently funneled $22,000,000.00 from his accounts for a Hollywood recording studio and office space development called CMNTY Culture Campus.

Though the project never broke ground and has since undergone foreclosure, St John denied Harris’ claims as “categorically false” and maintains that the electronic dance music star was a willing investor.

Refereeing the dispute in confidential arbitration, retired federal judge Michael R Wilner ruled that St John undisputedly failed to repay the loan by its due date.

In addition to the Harris arbitration, fellow EDM star Eric Prydz sued St John in November for allegedly taking $269,000.00 in unauthorized commissions, about which the manager denied those claims as “wholly fabricated”.

The American arm of defendant’s management firm, Thomas St John Group, declared bankruptcy last year and is currently attempting to liquidate its assets.
