On Friday (8.11,) Calvin Harris and Sam Smith released a drag race-themed video for their newest collaboration, “Desire.”
Following the British singer who speeds through an empty parking lot, the video features high-speed races interspersed with performance shots and appearances by the Scottish DJ/producer.
Not the fist time the two musicians have worked together, Harris and Smith aligned forces on several top-tie singles with Smith and Jessie Reyez singing on 2018’s viral “Promises” and Gloria‘s “I’m Not Here to Make Friends.”
“Desire” follows the early-2023 release of “Miracle” by Harris with Ellie Goulding, and Calvin’s 2022 Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 album that featured tracks with 21 Savage, Latto, Normani, and Justin Timberlake.
As for Smith, they recently released “Vulgar” with Madonna in June, joined the Barbie soundtrack with “Man I Am” in July, and is now on the Gloria World Tour with stops in Toronto, Denver, Vancouver, Oakland, and San Francisco later this month.
