Ariana Grande Replaces Nick Jonas On ‘The Voice’

In an unexpected move, Ariana Grande was just announced as Nick Jonas‘ replacement on The Voice as the Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter will join returning coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson for season 21 of the NBC-TV show.

“I’m so honored and excited to join The Voice family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time,” Grande said in a statement. “I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level.” Age 27, the “Positions” singer delighted fans when, on Tuesday , she announced the news via social media adding she is “beyond thrilled, honored, excited.”

As Spotify’s most-streamed female artist of the past decade, with more than 82 million Twitter followers and 228 million instagram followers — almost double that of Shelton, Legend and Clarkson combined — Grande is a huge acquisition for the show.
