On Saturday (9.31,) after completing her Munich, Germany residency with a 10th, Adele restated her plans to take a long break from music following the conclusion of her Weekends With Adele shows in Las Vegas this fall.
“I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now.” “I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly,” said the emotional singer to her audience.
The British-born superstar singer/songwriter added that she intended for her Munich residency to be the last shows of the 30 album era, but that the plans shifted when she rescheduled her postponed Las Vegas dates for the fall, stating “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” Adele said. “And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break.”
During a July radio interview, the now 36-year old songstress revealed that she would step away from music to focus on family and other “creative things” after her 100 show Las Vegas residency that launched at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November of 2022 comes to an end this November.
“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all.” “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while,” said Adele in August
Earlier this year, the chanteuse (born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE) addressed the limitations her fans have when their only option to see her live is to catch a flight to Vegas or Munich. “I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time, but next time I do, I’ll come to wherever it is you live,” she told one audience in January.
