On the animated show South Park, Lizzo was pleased with her portrayal as a campaigner for “body positivity.”
Though a version of the superstar rapper/writer doesn’t actually appear in the new Ozempic-themed episode ‘The End of Obesity,’ characters who cannot afford the miracle weight-loss drug are alternatively offered a ‘Lizzo’ prescription – which stops you caring about your weight via “body positivity”.
On Saturday (5.25,) the musician (born Melissa Viviane Jefferson) responded to the episode via TikTok video with “Guys, my worst fear has been actualized. I’ve been referenced in a South Park episode. I’m so scared.”
Her watching ‘Lizzo’ appear on the show, made her more proud than angry as she added:
“That’s crazy.””I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b**ch. I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f**k to a point where these men in Colorado know who the f**k I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.” “I’m really that b**ch and I’ll show y’all how to not give a f**k and I’m going to keep on showing you how to not give a f**k.”
Throughout the years, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have upset numerous celebrities with their uncompromising satirical depictions.
