Debuting April 26 on Hulu, the history of one of the world’s most successful rock groups will be explored in Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.
A four-part docuseries directed and executive produced by Gotham Chopra, the project description states “As thrilling as the story of a once-in-a-lifetime talent is, it is even more rare that a legend like Jon Bon Jovi lets the world into his most vulnerable moments while he’s still living them.”
The first Bon Jovi documentary to be sanctioned by all of the band members, the forthcoming series includes personal videos, unreleased demos, original lyrics and “never-before-seen photos that chronicle the journey from Jersey Shore clubs to the biggest stages on the planet.”
Now 64 years old, founding member Richie Sambora stated that a Bon Jovi reunion tour was not out of the question off the back of the series. In November, the guitarist said:
“There’s a documentary that’s being done about the band and stuff that I’ve participated in, and people want to come see us play, and it’s going to make everybody happy.” “I mean, essentially, that’s why you do it at this point. So yeah, it definitely could happen. It’s just a question of when everybody’s ready to go do it. It will be a big, massive kind of undertaking.”
Over the last four decades, Bon Jovi has had eleven LPs chart in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, along with four #1 singles, including ‘You Give Love a Bad Name,’ ‘Livin’ on a Prayer,’ ‘Bad Medicine’ and ‘I’ll Be There for You.’
In 2018, Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
