Some 13 months short of ten years, Skrillex presents Quest For Fire, his second full length album.
Now 35 years of age, the deejay/producer/artist, born Sonny Moore, is hardly the producer who delivered Recess in 2013, as Quest For Fire is far removed from his debut LP, and an obvious reflection of how far Skrillex and the electronic music movement have come since we first heard, “To get a thousand miles from the earth, a rocket would need this much power…”
Moore’s long-awaited second LP contains 15 titles that showcase the musicians boundlessly imagination and production skill set. Previously unheard repertoire are woven together by a string of market-tested singles, complete with old and new collaborations from the likes of Missy Elliot and Pete Wentz, to the long-documented complements of Four Tet, Starrah, Porter Robinson, Bibi Bourelly, and Josh Pan.
