One Direction Reunite At Liam Payne’s Funeral

At a private funeral held on Wednesday’s (11.20,) Liam Payne‘s One Direction bandmates paid their last respects to the singer.

On October 16 the former boy band member died from a third-floor fall from of a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Following delays due to post-mortem tests, Payne’s body was returned to the U.K. and Liam was laid to rest midweek during a private service held for family and his closest friends at a church in Amersham, England.

One Direction’s Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson were seen at the church to say ‘goodbye’ to their fallen friend. Girls Aloud singers Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts attended the service in support of their bandmate Cheryl who is the mother of seven-year-old son named Bear whom she shared with Liam, during their 2016 and 2018 dating period.

Other guests included Kate Cassidy, Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian, talk show host James Corden and music mogul Simon Cowell, who put together One Direction on The X Factor in 2010. 

In a joint statement issued at the time of Payne’s passing, his former bandmates said that they were “completely devastated” by his death, adding “The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.” 

Payne was a member of One Direction from 2010 until their hiatus in 2016 subsequent to which he embarked on a solo career, releasing ‘Strip That Down,’ ‘Get Low and For You’ singles.

Liam Payne died from internal and external bleeding and multiple traumatic injuries and toxicology reports confirmed traces of alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants in his system at the time of his passing. He is survived by his parents Geoff and Karen Payne, sisters Nicola and Ruth and son Bear.
