Famous of late for her social media posts about contemporary musician’s choice of stage names, Dionne Warwick is “still confused” by rapper Yung Gravy’s nom du plume.
Born Matthew Hauri, the superstar artist made headlines on Sunday (8.28) when he stepped out at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards with Addison Rae’s mother, Sheri Easterling, as his date.
However, while many people were interested in the couple’s new romance, the iconic, 81-year old Warwick took to Twitter on Monday (8.29) and questioned the 26-year-old’s choice of name, writing:
“Young Gravy? Like the food??????” “I have just learned that it is ‘Yung’ and not ‘Young’. I am still confused about the gravy. Okay.”
In response to Warwick’s post, Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter wrote, “I guess it’s better than Old Gravy??” to which Dionne replied, “You have a point.”
