Days after fellow rocker Travis Barker was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA (6.28,) Poison frontman Bret Michaels has been hospitalized.
Due to perform at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville alongside Def Leppard, Motley Crüe and Joan Jett on the latest leg of their Stadium Tour, Poison was a no-show when Bret was hospitalized shortly before the show which was subsequently called off due to lightning strikes.
In an Instagram post Michaels wrote “To the incredible fans in Nashville, thank you for all your well wishes!!” “I was truly fired up to get on stage in the music city and perform, but due to an unknown complication & following hospitalization, it was not possible. I send my deepest apologies for being unable to rock the stage tonight!!! I’m working on being back 100% very soon & hope you rocked hard with my friends Motley/Leppard/Joan and Classless Act!!!”
According to TMZ reports the legendary, 59-year-old frontman suffered a bad reaction to some medication and has had health issues in the past. In 2010, he experienced a brain hemorrhage, a stroke, and underwent surgery to repair a hole in his heart.
